Calm Under Pressure:
The Operation Stress Shield Method
Join instructor Bill Parravano from The Comella Foundation (501c3) for this weekly 1-hour class geared towards
FIRST RESPONDERS, VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY.
Does this sound like you?
- You’re on the front lines — law enforcement, fire/EMS, Veterans, Active Military — and every day brings more: economic pressure, social unrest, climate-driven disasters.
- Your team feels the strain: critical decisions under fire, unpredictable field conditions, constant calls for readiness.
The effects keep growing: quick tempers, burnout, absenteeism, turnover, morale sinking…and worse, it follows you home.
The hard truth
When stress becomes the baseline:
- Decisions get fuzzy
- Tension rises
- Teams fracture
- Health, performance and cohesion all suffer
- And when your crew isn’t at their best, the community you serve pays the price
The good news
It doesn’t have to be this way. This “Operation: Stress Shield” class gives you tools you can bring into the field, into the office, into whatever chaos is coming, so you can relieve pain/tension AND stay sharp, calm and resilient.
What you’ll walk away with
- Breath-work & nervous-system awareness drills you can use right now in high-pressure moments.
- Adaptive movement tools to release built-up tension, whether you’re standing in a command post, in a vehicle or sitting at your desk.
- “On-the-go” stress-response strategies tailored for public-service roles — field, office, or emergency-scene.
What this isn’t
This isn’t a generic “motivational” talk or a one-size physical fitness class. It’s built from decades of experience combining body-mind resilience training (martial arts & osteopathic work) with real-world stress exposure in public-service contexts. These are tools that work for men and women who serve communities, not just for elite athletes.

I don’t know if I can be there more than once. Is it still worth it to come to one class? YES, absolutely! Each class stands alone, but coming more often helps you build that memory muscle, and gives you new techniques each class.
Is this class truly FREE for FIRST RESPONDERS, VETS and MILITARY FOLKS? YES! Our nonprofit relies on donations from local and national sponsors as well as funding from grants and corporate sponsorship. Would you or someone you know like to support our work? Click here to learn how!
Why not just get a massage and listen to a guided breathwork recording? This isn’t just some random breathwork and stretches thrown together by some wanna-be expert! This is the culmination of 34 years of Martial Arts training (Judo and Systema) along side over 25 years of Osteopathic Bodywork training and practice. This program is the sum total of experience, blood, sweat and tears…and more practice! These are martial arts and Osteopathic principles applied to teach your body to heal.
